Scrapbook Fantasies release of KaiserCrafts Bombay Bliss Collection- 'All you need is love'

Alicia Redshaw at Scrapbook Fantasies gave me the chance to create with KaiserCraft's May collection Bombay Bliss. Here is what I came up with. All products used were purchased at Scrapbook Fantasies, the link of how to purchase this range and other products is at the end of this blog.

Now for some close ups. The papers and collectables in this range are just stunning.

I enjoyed used Anna Griffins embossing paste mixed with my Faber Castals metalic grape and metalic mint gelatos on my Ranger craft mat applied over a stencil using a plate knife. It was my first time using two colours and I am very pleased with the result.

I used a stencil and my Couture Creations ruby metalic embossing powder to create a highlight .

I also used the ruby metalic embossing powder to create the finish on my title.

Visit Scrapbook Fantasies Online Store or pop in store to purchase KaiserCraft's Bombay Sunset collection or any of the products I've mentioned above.

Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Inspiration Challenge- #15- 'Family is Love'

Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Inspiration Challenge #15 is Family. I chose a childhood photograph taken at my family home of me with my brother and dad. Loving the purple tracksuite I was wearing so I chose KaiserCraft Fairy Dust papers.

Here are some close ups and notes about what products I used.

I mixed Anna Griffins embossing paste with my Faber Castel lavender gelato on my Ranger craft mat and applied it everywhere using a pallet knife through a stencil I picked up in Borneo. I then flicked purple and green spray (love the green from KaiserCraft).

I used ribbon left over from class packs to anchor my page.

I used KaiserCraft and Couture Creations dies purchased from Scrapbook Fantasies to cut embelishments out of the KiaserCraft Fairy Dust paper.

I used wooden embelishments from my stash and coloured them with Dylusions Polised Jane paint and Diana Wakley's Blackberry Voilet paint. And added some flowers from my stash.

To finish it all off I used my latest purchase Glitzen Galmour to add a little sparkle to my embelishments.

I am greatful to Scrapbook Fantasies for running this Weekly challenge that is easy to be inspired from and gets me creating regularly. Plus I love the prize packs of more goodies for my stash. Thanks Alicia Redshaw and Jo Ford, keep the challenges coming :)

April- 123- 'Cherish Time Spent Together'

This month's 123 Challenge was to include 1.Pink, 2. Beautiful and 3. Hearts. I chose a photo of my dad and I from December which was only 5 months ago but it feels like so much has changed since then. I love my dad so much and it's hard to see him aging. I love this photo of us and was so pleased to scrapbook it. How I met the challenge; since this page was about love using 'hearts' was perfect. I love this photo because we both have 'beautiful' smiles. 'Pink' was perfect for this neutral tones photo and because my dad was never afraid to wear pink ;). I included lots of flowers because my dad designed and built a beautiful 2 achre garden full of flowers, which sadly we are in the process of selling due to needing to move closer to services. When I look at a beautiful flower especially a rose I am always reminded of my amazing dad. I thoroughly loved creating this page and I hope you like it to :)

Thank-you to 123 for another great challenge. If you're feeling inspired here is the mood board for this challenge. Happy creating :)

April- White with 1- 'Bliss'

This month's  White with 1 challenge colour was Helium Blue which immediately made me think of my mum whose favourite colour is blue. I found a bueautiful photo of her from about 15 years ago and raided my stash for helium blue paper, embelishments and mediums/ink. Here is the page I created.

I choose to seal the bottom left part of the page with gel medium then use my Cotten Candy and Metalic Blueberry gelatos to create a focal point. I then used some of the new dies I purchased from Scrapbook Fantasies Online Store to create embelishments. Finally I raided my stash for helium blue bling and sequins. White with 1 is always a great creative challenge to only use one colour and leave 80% of the page white space. I love this page and think it compliments the photo of my beautiful mum.

Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Inspiration #14- 'Amazing'

Scrapbook Fantasies Weekly Inspiration Challenge #14 is triangles, a shape I always seem to have difficulty drawing the type of triangle I want, but this week I achieved the look I was after. I was inspired by the deep purple and mustard/gold colour in the photos and used this as a basis for my choice of papers. These papers are Kaisercraft 'A Touch of Gold' purchased from Scrapbook Fantasies Online Store. I enjoyed creating a simple design and am pleased with the result. I hope you like it to :)

April- Scrap the Boys- 'Fun Times'

It's my first time entering the Scrap the Boys challenge and I've chosen a photo of my dad and brother. It's of a special moment where my brother was helping dad with a wood fire to cook lunch during a family picnic. I can just picture the scene and bet my brother was so pleased at being able to help my dad do the fire. Here is my page...

I choose earthy tones to match the bush setting. I used left over papers from a class, winning! I loved using the hexagons and plant dies to create points of interest. I am pleased with how it turned out and very happy to have scrapped a happy memory of my dad and brother doing something together.

Wednesday night class at Scrapbook Fantasies

I always have good intentions of scrapbooking on a weeknight but exhaustion often wins over, except on Wednesday night 'class night'. I love it because you don't have to make major creative decisions and you can relax, socialise and follow someone else's creative vision to create something amazing and leave feeling satisfied. Here is the page I created at Scrapbook Fantasies tonight designed by Alicia Redshaw

I love how Alicia teaches us new techniques each week, this week I learnt a new way to apply sprays to the background, I love the result. I also like how Alicia is happy for us to change the colours, change layout or add/leave off embelishments. Here is Alicia's page of her beautiful girls who are very close to my heart. I think this is a stunning page a thoroughly enjoyed doing the class.
